On Saturday, December 12 at about 11:00 PM, Michael and his friend were coming back from a friend’s house. He was on Powers Boulevard (Colorado Highway 21) going north and he saw a car coming toward him him on his side of the road. Yes, the car was going south in the north bound lane. Michael tried to move out of his way, but it didn’t do any good.
The car, a 2004 Chevy Avalanche, struck his car on the right front, side swiping him and causing the air bags to deploy. The man driving the Avalanche was drunk and being chased by the police, so after he hit Michael’s car, the police were right there.
Yes, the car is totaled.
